Whether you’re in a service role or delivering a product, nothing’s better than delivering more than people expect. Sure, it’s a simple and obvious truth, but when you’re on the receiving end, it has lasting impact.
I was reminded of its power when an electrician came round to do some work. He did exactly what we needed, but then installed an extra plug socket at no charge, guaranteeing himself a super happy customer and lots of future work and referrals.
As an agency that exists to serve clients, of course we should always look to go the extra mile. And if there’s ever a time to over-deliver it’s now, when it’ll be appreciated most.
